SoCal Beaches Magazine swimsuit modeling shoots are always done along Southern California beach locations including Mission Beach, Pacific Beach, La Jolla, Encinitas and up along the Orange County and Los Angeles coastline. In the last 3 years the majority of photo shoots have also included classic cars and hot rods to re-create a "Beach Boy's" atmosphere of days gone by which really helped define the California beach lifestyle.

Many of the swimsuit models are local San Diego and Orange County residents who are students and/or work locally but also like to model part time in an effort to further broaden their career.

"Our swimsuit models are everyday girls next door who you might see waitressing one day and then out modeling on the beach the next". Unlike Los Angeles, San Diego provides a much more relaxed and laid back setting with Mission Bay, Mission Beach and Pacific Beach providing dozens of great locations with plenty of beaches and palm trees for background settings.

SoCal Beaches Magazine is in their fourth year and for the last 2 years has been based 100% online.

"We decided that the future for us would be online and not in print since we did not have the financing to keep the magazine going and our area of expertise was internet based and not publishing based".

The decision has seemed to pay off for the online publication which got over 300,000 visitors in their first year on YouTube.com and to date has gotten over 500,000 views on Myspace.com. By focusing on what we were good at we were able to reach a much broader viewing audience and provide a lot of exposure for advertisers and sponsors.

SoCal Beaches Magazine has gotten the attention of many swimsuit companies who have provided swimswear to models for photo shoots in return for free publicity and exposure on their websites. Some of the swimwear companies include Sunsets Inc. ABBLswimwear, LinneaSwim, Codewaer Clothing, Fresh Peaches Swimwear and Strings By Judith to name a few.

"Swimsuit companies love the fact that we shoot on location at the beach and not in studios and the models love the fact that they can receive brand new swimwear and take it home once the photo shoot is completed."

San Diego also provides thousands of swimsuit modeling hopefuls who come from all over the country not only to live in Southern California but also to attend one of the many colleges and universities. San Diego is home to San Diego State University, University of California San Diego, University of San Diego and more than a dozen smaller community colleges.

"There are thousands of beautiful women who come and make San Diego their home every year either to attend school or to move out and live the California lifestyle".

We find many of those women and provide them an opportunity to showcase their good looks on our network of websites and provide great exposure and photos for thier resume", said Fitzgerald. This year (2009) will be our best year ever as our reputation starts to grow and many models recognize other friends and co-workers showcasing themselves on our websites and provde great feed back on the fun they had with us on the set".
